After a magical 26 years of bringing first class world cinema to Derby, Metro Cinema is now entering an exciting new stage in our illustrious history. 

Having been a lodger in our various homes from the Playhouse, to Green Lane and finally at the Heap Lecture Theatre, Metro Cinema will be closing its doors after our final screening on 23rd March to start the process of moving into our own, purpose built, luxurious home in the city centre in QUAD.

Metro has always been thankful for the support and loyalty of our members and Metro cinema-goers and we hope that you will be as excited as we are at the prospect of 3 luxury cinema spaces, a cafe and cinema foyer bar, and of course being the first regional partner for the bfi Mediatheque where you'll be able to browse the national archive of film and TV for free!

We believe that you'll enjoy the films we have in this brochure, and hope that you'll be able to join us for our final, special preview screening of the Oscar Nominated Animation film, Persepolis.
